Texan born and raised Irma DeJesus became a Christian in 1984 and has been in ministry for over 30 years. She and her husband Sam have four children and five grandchildren. As a couple they are regularly active in their church and have experienced God’s healing power both in their marriage and personal lives.
Irma is a Licensed Pastoral Christian Counselor with advanced certifications to specifically deal with many of life’s most challenging issues. She ministers through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and out of her own life experiences as a Youth Leader, Mother, Grandmother, and Wife. She knows what it is like to deal with divorce, single parenting, growing up with an alcoholic parent and dealing with past traumas. Having been healed to wholeness through the deep love of Jesus Christ, Irma has embraced her identity through her maker and feels blessed to help others walk their own path to healing.
Irma is the Founder of DeJesus Christian Counseling Center. She serves as the Director, one of the Counselors, and the Board of Director’s Chair for DeJesus Christian Counseling Center. Irma is also a Public Speaker and on the Board of Directors for God in Marriage, a non-profit ministry which focuses on building up marriages through meaningful marriage conferences. A native of Ohio, Sam was a prodigy as a youth, graduating high school at the tender age of 15. From there, he took his tremendous talent to the United States Army and served for 10 years as a decorated veteran. Sam has also had experience working for the FBI after his time in the military.
Once his service was over, Sam transitioned into working in the financial sector, beginning his career as a regional manager for TransAmerica Financial. He parlayed this opportunity into moving to the great state of Texas and became the first regional manager in the state of Texas for New Century Mortgage. After holding this title for 6 years, he spent some time piloting a new non-conforming mortgage division for Wells Fargo. He then took all his experiences and decided to branch out on his own and formed Principal One LLC, and he has operated as the founder and CEO of his company since 2002.
Sam also has extensive experience working in the community, including being the coach of various youth sports teams, being a volunteer coordinator with Serve Our City for over 10 years, and being an Elder of LifeAustin Church. He also worked tirelessly as a board member for Celebration of Love for over 13 years, serving the active military at Fort Hood.
Sam is a father of four children and a grandfather of five, and has been a loving husband to his wife, Irma, for 20 years. Sam brings his years of leadership and financial acumen to the DeJesus Christian Counseling Center Board and will ensure that the center is prepared and operational for those that seek restoration and healing. He looks forward to continuing to be active in his community, active in his church, and making a difference in the lives of many.
